iPhone app, in beta

Navigation that doesn’t stop at the front door.

Google Maps gets you to the building. Your scan of it takes you to the exact spot inside.

On the street: directions from Google Maps Inside: your scan of the building

One journey, from across town to inside the room.

The street, the door and the way inside, all in one app.

  1. On the street

Walk, drive, cycle or take public transport. Turn-by-turn directions from Google Maps take you to the door you marked, and each turn is read out before you reach it.

  2. At the door

As you near the door, iseeido gets ready to take you inside. Tap Start indoor navigation and raise your phone so the camera can see where you are.

  3. Inside

Your phone recognises where you are from your scan. Then a route on the screen, spoken directions and vibrations lead you to the exact spot.

It starts with a place you’ve scanned.

Scan a building once and put it on the map. From then on, iseeido can take you there from anywhere.

  • Scan it here

Walk the place with an iPhone 12 Pro or a later Pro model. Its LiDAR scanner captures the walls, floor and large furniture at true scale.

  • Or bring it from ICIDO

Places you scanned in ICIDO import with their tagged spots, and every spot becomes a destination.

  • Line it up

Turn the floor plan over the satellite map until the walls agree. You don’t need to be there, and there’s nothing to stretch: the scan sets the scale.

  • Mark the door

Show iseeido the way in, so street directions end at the door and not in the middle of a room.

Inside, directions you can hear and feel.

iseeido’s indoor guidance comes from ICIDO, the indoor navigation app for blind and low-vision people.

  • Spoken, turn by turn

For example: “Go forward 5 metres, then turn left.”

  • Stairs, announced early

You hear about stairs before you reach them.

  • Turns you can feel

Indoors, every turn can also come as a vibration.

  • Ask out loud

Tap the voice button and ask where something is.

  • Find me

Already inside one of your places? iseeido works out which one from what the camera sees, then guides you from there.

“Hey Siri, take me to the printer in iseeido.”

Say it from anywhere. If the place is on the map, iseeido plans the whole journey to that spot: the street, the door and the way inside. Siri needs iOS 17 or later.

You can also say

  • “Find me in iseeido”
  • “Scan a room with iseeido”

Your scans stay on your iPhone.

Kept on your iPhone

  • The places you scan or import and the spots you tag, unless you sign in and back them up or share one as a code.
  • Where each place sits on the map, and its doors.
  • What the camera sees. Working out where you are indoors happens on the phone.
  • Your voice. When you use the voice button, speech is turned into text on the phone.

Sent to Google, for street directions

  • Where you are as you travel, the door you’re heading for, how you’re travelling, and your language and units.
  • Google’s map collects data of its own too, including a device identifier and how the map is used.

What you need

  • An iPhone with iOS 16 or later to plan a journey and be guided.

  • An iPhone 12 Pro or a later Pro model to scan a place, because scanning needs LiDAR. Importing and navigating work on any iPhone.

  • Internet and location for the street part of the journey.

iseeido is in beta on TestFlight. It isn’t on the App Store yet, and for now it’s in English only.

Built on ICIDO

ICIDO is our indoor navigation app for blind and low-vision people, and it’s on the App Store today. iseeido uses its scanning and indoor guidance, and adds the street.
